Stock Car Racing Simulator

Welding by Law was contracted by a theming company to design and fabricate the cockpit for a racing simulator. The cockpit was fashioned from bent tubular steel on a sheet metal base.

The frame was encased in sheet metal to mask the frame from view and to give the ‘driver’ a more realistic environment.

We fabricated the gauge panel and routed wiring and control cabling through the dashboard for connection to the simulation CPU.

The cockpit was powder-coated in black. Then, diamond plate was used for the floorboards and pedal backing for stability and traction. The driver seat was secured in place and the steering wheel was installed.

Preformed Plexiglas panels were fitted to the frame for the windshield and drivers side windows. Safety netting was also installed over the driver’s window for ambience.

The simulator cockpit was delivered to its destination for use at a grand opening, then at a gaming facility.

The CPU was installed and the gauges and steering wheel was connected. A large flat panel monitor was placed in front of the windshield for visualization output.
